Au Pair in Belgium
A 12-month host-family placement involving childcare and light housework. The source describes 30 hours per week, a separate room, meals and at least one day off each week.
Source conditions
Ten days of paid holiday plus two unpaid weeks over the year. The family pays for insurance and French or Flemish language courses. Two allowance schedules are described: EUR 300 in the first month followed by EUR 500 per month; or EUR 450 for the first four months followed by EUR 500. No single exact allowance is assigned.
Candidate profile
Source ages: 18–26. Good French, or good English with at least basic French. Enjoyment of childcare, communication skills and honesty. A driving licence is welcome but not required. The applicable allowance schedule and current eligibility must be confirmed.
