AU PAIR — programme overview
AU PAIR — an informational overview

About this offer
Au pair is a form of cultural exchange that introduces participants to daily life in another country through living with a host family. It usually involves help with childcare and agreed household duties.
The aims are language practice, cultural exchange and experience of independent living. Duties and the permitted workload must be agreed for the particular country and host family.
Age, language, childcare experience, marital status and driving licence requirements depend on the particular programme. The list in the old article is not a universal set of requirements for every country.
Accommodation, meals, insurance, pocket money, leave and application costs must be checked for the chosen country and contract. This overview does not promise free accommodation, guaranteed payments, a visa or university admission.
This is a programme overview, not a current vacancy or recruitment announcement. Country-specific offers may be published separately after their terms are checked.
