Working as a caregiver in Poland
Translated testimonial. Names, dates and circumstances are retained from the original.

Tetiana, aged 59, went to work with the family of an 84-year-old Polish woman, caring for and supporting her. She shared her impressions after the first week.
Everything is fine so far! If it stays this way, I could work here for a long time. Of the three granddaughters, two are very pleasant. The eldest is a strict oncologist with three children. The grandmother is nice too: she mostly remembers everything, although she may forget something.
She eats little, so I have started cooking small portions; otherwise she says, “I am not a glutton.” They bought groceries for about three days, and I only need to top up. The shop is five minutes away. The grandmother has even started walking better during these days. Yesterday, the middle granddaughter's husband took me to a phone shop so I could sort out my mobile service. They have promised to take the grandmother and me to see the city centre at the weekend. I would like to send a detailed review later, with a photo of the grandmother, but I do not want to trouble her yet. She is becoming more active and gets into mischief like a small child. She walks more, and I am constantly keeping an eye on her. I understand her relatives: it is frightening to leave her alone in this state.
I have already had some rest. They arranged her medicines and wrote down the times, so I will soon feel at home. They bought flowers for my room before I arrived, and again for Women's Day. That is how things are!
