Oksana Turpytko, AU PAIR, Germany
Translated testimonial. Names, dates and circumstances are retained from the original.

Hello, my name is Oksana, and I am from Poltava. Several years ago, I decided to add some variety to my life and went to Germany as an au pair. Of course, there were some difficulties.
On the third attempt, I found a truly ideal family. Nothing terrible happened with the first two families; we simply did not see eye to eye!
I lived in Munich, Bavaria, which gave me many unforgettable experiences. Visiting Oktoberfest alone was worth it!
I was lucky enough to look after a three-year-old girl and do genuinely straightforward, manageable housework. My working day started at 17:00 because the parents owned a restaurant that opened at five in the evening and stayed open until the last customer. That lifestyle suited me perfectly. I could sleep in and spend the day with friends or shopping.
I had a wonderful relationship with the family. The host mother and I often talked like close friends. I had a huge room of my own with a bathroom, television and double bed. The parents let me use their computer freely, so I was not short of internet access! I also attended the required language courses and made friends from Kazakhstan, Canada, France, Poland and Russia.
There were too many good moments to describe, but it was a truly unforgettable and eventful year!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving me this opportunity!
